Great Success with Shop Local Win Big

During May, Building a Better Boyertown managed a very successful Shop Local Win It Big gift card raffle, where every entry had a chance of winning hundreds of dollars in gift cards to local Boyertown businesses.  All of the participating businesses donated a $25 gift card or certificate to their business.  Each participant who purchased a $25 or more gift card for a business was entered into a huge prize pool of gift cards.  Purchases were made through the www.historicboyertown.com website between May 11 – 15.  The event raised $7,125 for local stores in gift card sales.  A true success.

Local Cooperation Grows

Building a Better Boyertown is working cooperatively with Berks-Mont Business Association and Tri-County SCORE to provide resources for businesses working to reopen during Covid-19. A Renew, Reinvent, and Rise landing page was developed for reference to best practices.  Complementary signage for display in store windows, which illustrates that the business is using best safety practices was designed and available at Everything Printing.

Building a Better Boyertown is also cooperating with the Pottstown Health and Wellness Foundation to deliver the Home Garden Contest.  Entries are being accepted for Best Young Gardner, Best General Garden, Best Vegetable Garden, Best Pleasant Porch, and Best Outdoor Oasis.

Assisting Local Businesses
