The soul of a community is found in its arts and cultural offerings – and that certainly is true at Studio B, the community arts center of Boyertown. Ever-changing exhibits by local and regional artists have included: Cul-ti-vate: Art Inspired by Agriculture”; ‘Til Death do us Art,” an exhibit by couples who both produce creative works; “Out of the Woods” featuring a couple with the last name Wood who are both artists; “O! Suzannah,” an exhibit of artists whose name is some form of Susan; “Shine”: fine art and holiday ornaments offered as unique Christmas gifts during the community’s annual holiday tour and Santa celebration; “Vessel” showcasing two- and three-dimensional containers, and “It’s Raining Cats and Dogs”” art inspired by felines and puppies.
In addition to engaging arts exhibits, Studio B also offers: “Fall into Winter,” an annual tour of artists’ studios; a bike tour benefiting the new Secret Valley Trail; releases of an Artist Members’ Coloring book and a Beginning Guitar for Kids; summer workshops for children; writing workshops; monthly art socials where artists gather, classes in visual and communication arts, poetry readings, history talks, book talks, and artist events. Studio B also holds an annual themed exhibit and book release event combining visual and literary art. Integrating art into life, they have hosted weddings, birthday parties, networking events, meetings, and painting parties. The Beat Fever Art Walk through Boyertown was a product of this group of very creative imaginations. This location is open during selected regular hours.
