Have you ever been to a town with a completely unique art venture created in their community? Only in Boyertown will you find Bears – huge, life size bears, painted and decorated, 71 of them to be exact – with original names like Jingles, Bella, Gilbert, Huggy, and Barrister. They were all sponsored by local businesses and originally created by the students at Boyertown High School with the help of the local community arts organization, Studio B. As the program became more popular, artists from all across the country began decorating bears, which are now placed all over town. The Bear Fever Walk takes you right through historic Boyertown, so make sure to plan time to stop in at the shops, restaurants and unique attractions you’ll pass along the route!
